Bush Family Progressive Dinner

Every year we do our Christmas Progressive Dinner. We have good food and go from house to house. I look forward to this especially since we know there will be a visit from the big fella in red and Mrs. Clause too! Santa calls each kid up and talks about how they have been that year and what they are up to. They are able to tell him what they want for Christmas. Cole did not know what to ask for. He just kept licking his lips.

We sing songs and than Santa will read a book about the true meaning of Christmas! What a great time. Thanks fam!

Winter Wonderland!

I loved that it snowed yesterday and I did not have anywhere to go so I said...let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
We decided to make homemade Chicken Noodle Soup. Yum. The only problem is that we made it around lunch time and so we (Cole and I) kept picking at the noodles throughout the day.
We also made mini corn bread muffins to go with our dinner. Love Cold winter nights with something warm to eat.

Dearden Family Dinner

We had dinner here on Sunday evening with the Dearden Family. We ate, played the bells as we sang Christmas songs, did a kids craft and also played some games. It was a fun night. Thanks Fam for the fun night! Also a tradition that Kevin's parents do every year is they give a Christmas book to all the families. This year it was "Paddington and the Christmas Surprise". Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Dearden!

BYU vs. Utah

We went to the last BYU game. This season has been so fun to go as a family to the games. We only bought two tickets. We would trade between Cole and I going to the games. We also had a few games where we all got to go. The BYU Utah game was one that we all went to. We still had our mini van rental so we loaded up and dressed real warm! We painted the sides of the van in blue paint. It made the drive down so fun. Cougar fans would drive past cheering. Than U fans would drive past and give us thumbs down. We loved it. We love the friendly rivalry kind.

Way to go Cougars!
The following day I had thrown the BYU ticket stubs in the garbage, and later that night Cole had found them and came running into the room yelling "who throwed these away?" I said. "Well I did." Cole-" Mom don't do that-we save these" and he put them on the fridge. I guess we save them!

Coleman is Three Yippee!

Happy Birthday Coleman Scott Dearden

Cole turned three last week and boy do we love this little man. He is growing up to fast. Just a few things about our ColeMan...
When you ask him his name he says his full name.
He loves the color Green.
Trucks, cars, tractors, motorcycles, 4 wheelers.
He loves to play "tackle" with Dad.
He wanted a bike because Dad said he had to learn to ride a bike before a motorcycle. ha.
He is so animated, and loves to joke around.
He is so sweet to his baby sister.
He loves to tease and he just enjoys life.
He makes us laugh everyday!!!
He wipes off his cheek after we give him kisses.
He has the book "Where the Wild Things are" memorized.
He is All Boy and loves to be loud and Rough ( In Nursery they had him sit out of Ring Around the Rosie because he was tackling the other kids.

We Celebrated his Birthday with family that evening. We had cake and ice cream and did presents. Cole has three other cousins around his same age and has been asking for a sleep over for a while. So for his Birthday we had them all sleep over. They are the cutest little kids around! It was so fun to see them lined up in there sleeping bags, eating candy and watching "Up". What a fun Day! Thanks guys for the fun gifts and celebrating with us!

Way To Go Kevin!!

We bought well actually Kevin's work bought his study materials for the four CPA exams he has to pass. When they arrived I could not believe all the books and Cd's he needed to get him ready for the tests.
He took his first exam Friday September 23rd. He left the testing (where they take your finger print) feeling like he did really bad on it. We were told results would not be here till December

Well last night he checked and results were in!! He PASSED! Not only did he pass but he got 90!!
Sorry to brag but dang, he did awesome. Way to Go Kevin, I am so proud of you!!!

Grateful...

Tuesday evening I was in a car accident. I was going home and this truck pulled right in front of me. It was pretty scary since I have only been in a fender bender accident. I had my kids with me which made it very scary for me. I think I was in a bit of shock. I was a bit of a mess emotionally, I was pretty bummed out I hate car accidents.

But I was very blessed and here are the things that I was grateful for:

My kids and I were not hurt (other than slight whip lash)
The young boy admitted that it was his fault.
He had Insurance & they have been easy to work with.
The sweet lady that called the police and stayed with me in the middle of the road.
(That lady also went and got a zip lock of things for my kids to eat)
The Rental Mini Van
Rachel for coming with her kids and picking us up we were hanging out in the fire truck,
and Rachel again for bringing us a yummy dinner.
Dad getting off work to come help.
All the phone calls from Family.
The fireman who let me where there coat and use there cell phone since mine was dead.
My great husband who tried to get there as fast as he could.
I am so grateful for My Heavenly Father and how he watches over me and my family.

Dailey's Ear Piercing...

On October 23rd we took Dailey to get her ears pierced. We went with Ben and Rach who also got little Abby's ears done. I have always said if I had a girl I would pierce her ears. She cried for a minute or two but did very well. It was a little sad and I made Kevin hold her since I was a little afraid.
Dailey is four months old now. I can't believe it. Wow it goes to fast. We love her so much. She is such an adorable baby

Go Green Goblins!

Coleman's First Soccer Team

In September we signed Coleman up for Soccer. We put him on a team with three of his cousins. That may have been a mistake since they just love to hold hands and run around together. But it is so dang cute. Heck I'll pay $48 to have them run around in those cute soccer outfits and have a good time. However you were suppose to be 3 years old before the sign up date and Cole was not. So I decided if we wrote our name down to coach they would overlook the fact that he was under the age requirement. So good sport Kevin went out on the field with them and I help sub along with my brothers. Here are some cute pics of our Green Goblin Soccer Team!

Oh yeah, since Cole loves to play at home and is really good when we play with him but looses focus when he is out with the other kids. I being the good Mom I am promised him Ice Cream if he scored a goal. Well one of his fellow team mates was already set up to kick the ball into the goal than out of no where Cole jumps in and kicks it into the goal. Way to go Ice Cream for you buddy.

Summer Time Fun

We were at Susan and Andrew's house for a summer party and the kids were playing. Here is a video Kevin made.

Halloween

I am going back since I feel like I have missed some fun things but haven't had time to post them!
Halloween was so fun! Cole was Super Why this year! Dailey was a little Ladybug and Kevin and I were Johnny Lingo and Mahanna. On Halloween day we woke up and went to Cole's soccer game and than went to Creig and Mind's for the annual Halloween party. Where we ate Dinner in a Pumpkin and played games. It still weird's Kevin out to eat from the pumpkin but I sure love it.
Here are some pics. Oh did I mention I helped my Mom sew Cole's costume. It was fun to attempt it by myself but than I had to go to her and have her really make it into a costume.
Thanks Mom!

Happy 30th Baby

Kevin turned 30! He went to work and got off early and we all headed to the Zoo. Cole has not been since he was a baby and Kevin had not been in a very long time as well.
We had fun seeing the baby elephant and watching the Gorilla's eat the yellow pages. Yes the yellow pages. It was so funny to see them tear out a page at a time and shove it into their mouth.
We did miss the hippopotamus. I guess they don't have them anymore. I really wanted to show Cole. Darn. And also the classic drinking fountain out of the Lion's mouth was not open.

It was a beautiful Sunny November day. We went from the Zoo to dinner with some of Kevin's family and than came back for cake and Ice Cream. We also picked up a redbox movie, GI Joe to watch later that night. It was a fun day and we loved spending it with you Kev.
You are the best husband and Dad ever. Love you!

It's What Fun Is...

Saturday afternoon we went to Lagoon. We arrived and boy was it packed. I could not believe it. I thought Frightmares was suppose to be less crowded. It was a nice day so that is probably why it was busy. Kev, Andy, and Liz took Cole on the Tidal Wave first. He was a little afraid but he liked it. Than we took him to all the kid rides. You could not wipe the smile off his face. He just loved it.

Dailey was great too. She hung out in the stroller and when she had enough of that we would hold her. Kev and I really only rode one big ride ourselves the rest of the time was watching and riding with Cole. But that was the fun to see him ride all the rides and just love it.

Amber and Maddie came too! Cole and Madison had a great time. There was a couple of rides where they had a "little moment" where they were fighting over who controlled the ride. But all in all they did great.
I seem to get pretty uptight in crowded places when Cole is on the loose! Something I need to work on, I guess. But it was a fun day!

The Pumpkin Patch

Monday night we went to the Pumpkin Patch. We got there about 7 which they close at dusk. (Sorry Creig and Mind) Who knew. So we had to make our selection pretty quick. We did pack a flashlight to help us pick just the right ones. Well let's be honest Cole just wanted to ride in the wheelbarrow and run around. He really did not care which pumpkin he got.

We were checking out and weighing our pumpkins having a good time, but boy were those workers in a rush to get us gone or maybe they were just being helpful? The worker girl was at our car trying to throw the pumpkins in the back when we let her know we have to put our stroller in first. Than she grabbed the wheel barrow to take it back, Oh wait still a pumpkin inside.

Than she says "I'm not trying to rush you"
I say "oh your not" sarcastically.

Ok so why am I not very understanding? The poor pumpkin patch worker girl just wanted to get home. Sorry Pumpkin Patch Girl and Sorry Kev for not being nicer. (He's always nice)
