B-Y-U Cougars!! Roarrrrr

Last Saturday Coleman and I went to the BYU game. We drove down with my dad, mom, and Brian. As we walked into the stadium Cole started yelling "Go BYU!" over and over again. It was so funny and I liked seeing him excited about the game. We were there plenty early so we walked around for awhile and ran into the bin of footballs for sale. Of course we had to buy one and Cole wanted the football with a cougar on it. Then we headed for our seats.

Once we got to our seats I thought the cheering for BYU would continue but shortly after the game started and BYU scored, Cole asked, "Is it over?" I had to explain that it had just gotten started. Then he said, "I want a drink, please." So we headed out and got some rootbeer and got back to our seats. He did awesome for most of the first half but began getting restless. He wanted to go out. I held him off as long as I could but when he said, "I need to go poopy, Dad." we had to head down. Since the first half was almost over, we hit the restroom and then went outside the stadium to play on the grass.

Cole's favorite thing to do on the grass right now is to play football, except Cole calls it "tackle." So we are outside on the grass and we play a great game of "tackle." It was so much fun and he used a lot of energy running around. When I heard the game was starting back up we headed back in and enjoyed the second half with Grandpa, Grandma, and Uncle Brian. The games can get so long for kids but Cole was awesome and so much fun.

We also ran into Uncle Creig, Aunt Mindy, Jake, Natalie, and Hannah before and after the game. Then we ran into Uncle Ben, Aunt Rachel, Tyler, Ryan, Morgan, and Abby at halftime. Cole loves all of his cousins so it was fun to run into them at the game.

So, it was a great day at Lavell Edwards Stadium. Great weather, the Cougs won, Cole was so much fun, and we were with family. The only thing that would have made it more fun was if Mom and Dailey could have been there too!

Go Cougars! Roarrrrr!

Fall Leaves, Tinfoil Dinners, and Starbursts!

Last night we went up Millcreek Canyon to look at the changing leaves and to have good old tinfoil dinners over a camp fire. The canyon was so pretty all the leaves were just starting to change color. I saw many places to take great photos of changing leaves, but our picnic area was not one of them. So I hiked up a little to take a few photos. Oh I so badly want to be able to take awesome photos. But I will have to wait until one day, I enroll in some classes.

Cole loves the outdoors! He also loves fire. We were getting the wood on the fire and Kevin looks over and Cole had the matches and had lit a match before we even knew it. Aaah. It's a boy thing right? He enjoyed throwing wood chips into the fire and being right by Dad helping him.

Love being married to such a handsome boyscout! He cooked our tinfoil dinners perfect. I never liked roasted marshmallows. Probably because I burn them (I missed the patience line in heaven, not Kevin though) he makes a golden brown marshmallow. Crunchy on the outside and smooth and gooey on the inside. We also roasted starburst candies. The fire doesn't just melt them but makes them also gooey and crunchy. Hard to explain, I guess you'll have to try for yourself. Last thing we roasted dough for breadsticks. I got the recipe off a website that called it Bannock. Which just tasted like biscuits to me. It was okay, would have been better with some butter of course!
2-3 C Flour
1-2 T Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
2-3 T Oil or butter
2/3 C Warm Water

We had such a good time up the canyon just with our little family. I love family outings! I am so blessed to have such a great family and to be able to go and enjoy the wonderful things all around us.
Cole took this picture of us. Wow he is even a better photographer than I am. He does have some mad skills though.

Great Day Continued...Doctor's Appt, Target, Dunford Bakery!

We went from the doctor's office to the bread store. Dunford sells a loaf of bread on Monday's for only 99 cents. It is good bread too. Since you can't go to Dunford without smelling the delicious doughnuts we had to pick a couple of those up too. Yum. Yum.

Today we had Dailey's two month visit. Wow it has gone by so fast. Even though she is still my little newborn she is not the little newborn. Somehow that stage goes so quick too quick.
We went to the doctor visit where she had shots. Since Kevin was not there to hold her in front of their fun walls I had to sit her down. Okay who does this. Look at her head. Seriously.
Poor baby girl. She got four shots. She only cried for a second though.

What a Great Day....

I woke up yesterday morning and felt that fall had officially hit! My toes were cold walking around the hardwood floors. I made a mental note that I was in need of some good slippers. My favorite slippers had seen their day and I had to throw them away. I went out to do a little shoe shopping for Cole and where did we go? Good old Target! I forget how much I like Target.

I love the dollar bins they have at the front of the store. Dangerous but fun. I found Sunday shoes for Cole and socks and a fall outfit for Dailey. A few other things I could not pass up too.
But my favorite purchase was these babies. Oh I have seen my cute little sis, who had these also but I did not know how dang comfortable these were. I absolutely love them.
They are so warm, and are now my favorite little purchase I made at Target.

Mom's Birthday

Grandma and the three newest little granddaughters!

We spent the day with Grandma!
We went to Kneaders for lunch than to Gardner Village to walk around.
We all met later that evening for dinner. Chili and breadsticks yum.
Than cake and presents.

Dailey's Blessing Day!

Three Generations!

Dailey was blessed on Sunday September 6, 2009.

Dailey's blessing day was so nice. Grandma Bush made her blessing dress. It is so amazing. She made her a slip and the bow she is wearing. She also made matching bracelets for me and Dailey both. The dress is absolutely perfect. My favorite part is the tatting around both the collar and the sleeves of the dress. Tatting takes a pretty talented person and that is what my mother is! Just bragging a little about my good Mom! Not only did she sew this dress but she hand stitched a quilt for the crib. She got it all done before the blessing day. She is truly amazing! Thanks Mom you made the blessing day so special.

Dailey did really well during the blessing. So it was asking a little much for the photo shoot afterwards. It was feeding time and she was letting me know it.
