Cole's First Primary Program...

We decided to go and get Cole some new church clothes. He has been wearing polo shirts and kakis which are great but I thought it would be fun for his program to be all dressed up.
We found this cute little suit at Sears of all places. I did not know they had children's clothes. There dressy selection was great. So while trying on we had to convince Cole to put on the tie it was just a clip on. He didn't like the idea. But when we told him about Dad wearing a tie too, he came around.
Well he looked handsome as can be. He sat up on the stand so great for the first little while and than you could see if looking at his shirt sleeves and he started getting upset. He held up his arms and was showing us how there is the whole in the sleeves of the sunday shirt. He was so sad they had wholes. He thought there was something wrong with his shirt. So we tried to show him Kevin's wholes in his sleeves. He started to cry so we motioned for him to come down by us.
We than showed him how Dad and both Grandpa's had the same thing with there Sunday shirts. He than felt better knowing that his shirt was like theirs. The poor kid thought he had a wardrobe malfunction. We gave him a little treat and than he headed back up on the stand. He said his part perfectly and without help. Than he sang the songs he knew. He is such a great kid!! All of the kids did so great. What a great program it was.
Those pictures were after church. So yes the shirt was tucked in most of the time. Don't they look tired?

Way to Go Kevin!!!

Last Summer Kevin got all his study materials for the CPA Exams in the mail. When I saw all the stuff I thought man alive, glad it's him and not me.
I could not believe all that was going to go into being a Certified Public Accountant.
Well he has done great! He has studied so hard. He finished school and now these tests, all the while working a full time job, being a husband, and Dad!

He is so good at juggling it ALL. Way to Go Kevin! He now just has the two State tests and he will be an official CPA.
We love you so much and are so proud of you!

Birthday Carnival...

Ethan the Birthday Boy!

My Sister in Law is such a great party planner. She had a Birthday Carnival for her little boy who turned 1. It was such a fun little carnival. She had games for all the kids where they earned tickets.
They turned the tickets in for little prizes. Cole really loved the little bounce house they had. I loved the pin wheel decorations. Such a cute 1st Birthday Party. Way to go Lorrie.

Like a night at the State Fair...

We went to the state fair. Not sure what it is that I even like about the Fair but it sure is fun to people watch see the booths go to the farm that the kids get to do and I even like to see a few craft entrys as well. We usually don't buy anything but Cole got a Corn on the Cob and a sword for only $3. I get a little cheap sometimes. I can remember my own parents forking out a few dollars for each kid to purchase something. Kevin hates the fair. Lucky for him he had a Scout overnighter tonight which had a ton of their own activities going on to keep him busy.

Green Dragons... and Mom's Birthday...

Cole is on an outdoor soccer team this fall with his cousin Morgan. It is so darn cute. We really just pay the money to get the soccer jersey and the shorts. Cole lives in those clothes.
Their first game was on Grandma's Birthday. It was so fun to watch him run around and try to listen to his coach. Man was he excited about the half time oranges and the after game treat.

We had a great day with my Mom we took her some muffins for breakfast and went to Winger's for lunch than did a little shopping and after the game we had cake and ice cream. What a fun time. We sure do love you MOM!!!

Emergency Room Visit...

Sunday night I found myself having some really bad pain under my right rib area. I thought it would go away and found it only increasing throughout the night. I had a horrible night not sleeping and trying not to move since that only made things worse. By 6:30am I could not stand the pain any longer and we started calling the instacare to find out their hours. Well We got ready and my Mom and Dad came over and watched my kids while Kevin and I went to instacare. We took the Hyundai bad idea. Man it killed like no other to get down in and shift my upper body.
Well instacare was crazy busy with fireman needing physicals not sure why they were not at their regular doctor but whatever. So my family doctor was just across the street so we went their to find out if they could see me so they had an opening at 9:30 we waited around to be seen.
We went in and she was sure it was my gallbladder. So she gave us options and we took the Emergency Room route. Never been in the ER for myself before. Very interesting people and well I am not sure I want to go back either.
I was in so much pain to move or breath and the doctor thought it was my gallbladder too. We hung out all day their and it seemed like the morphine wouldn't take my pain away. I was in so much pain I thought I was going to die. So I gave Kevin permission to remarry. He did tell me it would take him 18 Months I think he said. I was in so much pain I didn't think he was funny.

Than the ultrasound came back and everything looked fine. Kidneys, appendix, gallbladder. Good. Okay what the heck. I was in tremendous pain by now. And the good old ER doc was going to send me home. Well than he came back and said he wanted to check for a blood clot in my lung. So they injected dye into me and I had to go through this tube to check for blood clots.
That too came back negative and HOME they sent me. I looked at Kevin and said I can't believe I was leaving in this amount of pain. Well I went home and got a blessing and the pain was better through the night and the next day and by Wednesday I was great. Than Wednesday night I ate a hamburger and fries and I felt a little pain back again. So ummh. not sure what to think. Fun Stuff. But Thank Goodness for priesthood blessings and let's hope for no more attacks like that. Guess I better follow up with my doctor. Any thoughts on what it could be?
Also Thanks Both Families!! Thanks for the text, prayers, calls, helping with kids, dinners, and prayers in making sure I was ok. You guys are all so Great. So blessed to have you ALL!!!

Perry Family Reunion...

We had a Perry Family Reunion and Man it was a great one! Our cousins the Hales are super talented people. They made a website where they did spotlights on each sibling and made t-shirts, cookbooks, lunch, tennis tournament, pie eating contest, cookie taster table, raffle, games.
It was some serious stuff. Whoever has to follow is in troub. Just teasing.
I only got pictures of the pie eating contest. But it was so much fun and I just wanted to say
Thanks Hale Family you guys did Awesome!!!

Oh I forgot to mention Kev and I took the tennis tournament. What. what!!! Okay we may have cheated. jk
And Cole wanted nothing to do with eating pie with just your face. He heard the rules and was OUT!

Relay Marathon...

I did a relay marathon with a few ladies and man do I love to run. Don't I wish my knees loved it too. No my knees were great thanks to the sports med Doctor.
So South Jordan does a relay where you have five runners and you each run 5.2 miles.
Our team consisted of two ladies in my ward and myself and my dear sister in law and a lady in her ward.
We did great if I may say so. It was fun getting to know these ladies and a great Saturday morning run.

Dailey's First Steps...

This girl went from rolling over to bum scooting to walking. Ha. ha. Okay she still isn't walking. But she has taken her first steps. She Furniture walks pretty well.
She did her very first while we were at Brighton.
I never really tried to help her to walk. Well Kevin saw our cute little niece who is always on the go who is 12 days older walking and she is great at it! So Kevin helped Dailey walk her first few steps!!
Way to Go Day Day.
Looks like I still can not figure out how to post a video. Darn.

Go Mighty Cougars...

Well It is that time of year...
Cougar Football
We went to the first Cougar Game of the season.
We left from Brighton and went and met Kev's Mom and Dad and Brother and had a little tailgate party. Too bad I did not bring out my camera once. Dang it.
They saved us a parking spot and we pulled right up and had some yummy hamburgers and threw the football around and than it was time to head in for the Game.
I love the excitement in the stadium on the season opener. It was a fun game and both Cole and Dailey did so great. We like our seats and think it is going to be a great season. Oh wait I am writing this after last weeks loss. Man did we look bad.
But we will pull it together.
The next day Kevin took Cole to the bathroom and he said "Dad Guess what I want to do when I grow up?" and Kev said what? " Be a Football Player" Kev said " oh Great. K well you will have to play a lot of "tackle" with me. and than Kevin asked "who do you wanna play for?" Cole says, "Dad you know ... BYU!"
Than all week with everything I served for lunch and dinner he asked: "Do Football Players Eat this?"
We love our Cole.

Brighton...

We went up to Brighton over Labor Day this year. We were able to up on Friday night and come home Monday evening. It was so fun to go up and enjoy some yummy Potato Cheese Soup and enjoy the crisp mountain air. When I say crisp I should be saying cold. It takes a little while for my body temp to adjust to colder weather. Thank Goodness for the Soup.
Saturday we went and hiked up to Lake Mary and man was that a hike. I am sure it isn't really but I was holding Dailey the entire way up. "Man I am gonna kill my trainer he says I am in great shape" movie quote. Kev carried Dailey on the way down. I am a little more unstable on the way down. Cole was a trooper and enjoyed it almost the whole way.
Anyhow we had a lot of fun just relaxing and hanging with family. We hot tubbed, did a few skits out on the deck, played the killer game and ate yummy food.
We watched a weapons demonstration which the kids loved and thanks to Nathan we now have a pile of weapons in our front room that can not move which is loving called the "kill stuff". Cole has a "Kill Bag"which when you ask what it is he says it is my "church bag/ kill bag" they go hand in hand.
We also had a fun little afternoon lunch behind the church where we played candybar craps too.
Than there was the game Grandma and Grandpa had us searching for items around Silver Lake.
When you spotted the item you had to run up to them and tell them and you got a treat.
Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us go up you are so great.
