Happy Father's Day...

The Father of our home leads our family. With wisdom's light in all that's right;
My father's good to me. Fathers are so special with a very special love.
They watch us and protect us. They guide us and direct us Back to our home above.

I have amazing Father's in my life! I am so blessed to have my Dad and Kevin's Dad. They are both wonderful men, who honor their priesthood and who are hard working, loving Fathers!!!
Love you guys!
Our primary sang this song above (not sure why it's underlined and in blue, must of hit something) in church to the Dad's. Cole sang so great! But I love this little simple song.

I am also so blessed to have this guy to be the Father to my two beautiful kids. He is so amazing.
He is such a great Dad. I love watching him with Cole and Day. He is great.
Boy oh Boy did I ever luck out when I married him!!!
Kevin wanted to take his Dad golfing for Father's Day so he and his brother and Dad went golfing early Saturday morning. Than his Dad took them both out to breakfast. I love that they like to spend time together! Oh and Kev needed to try out his new club.

The kids and I went to their cousins last soccer games. They both are very good at soccer. Than we got a babysitter and went out to PF Changs for dinner with my family. It was a very fun and "special" night. To top the night off we got a parking ticket. Another story for later. But definitely a funny situation. It probably won't be funny if they don't except our appeal. But still kind of funny. That is our busy, but fun weekend!

Crazy Busy, Summer Fun...

This past weekend was a busy and fun one. We had the ward carnival on Friday night. Where I was in charge of all the games. I look forward to this carnival. It is a lot of fun. However I am not good yet at mastering how to be fun and not stress over things and so maybe that is why I am still in the primary and they haven't released me. Ha ha. No I love Primary! It's definitely where it's at. But it all seemed to happen all at once. Carnival, Sharing Time, and Father's Day.
Whooo. I love being busy and I love summer too.
So it was fun but also nice to have the weekend over.
Here is only a couple of photos from the carnival. I think I was too worried about the cotton candy not working. (Thanks to Kev, we got a refund on it) I was no help with it. I kept screaming when it would make loud sounds at me. So I gave up. Thanks to our secretary she finally was the one to get it going and to another lady in a different ward. Thanks Lady in the other ward for your help.
I did have my fun, husband talk me into getting in the dunk tank and go down the fun slip n slide. No pics of that Thank goodness.

70th Birthday party Luau...

Mom Dearden planned a Luau for Dad's 70th Birthday! It was so much fun. We ate delicious food, talked and played. The decorations were awesome. It made it so fun.
Way to go Mom and Lorrie.

Mom made a book for him, and all the kids did a page in the book with memories and pictures.

Kevin took this picture. I was laughing watching him try and get the flame in the shot.
He did pretty good!
I thought these cupcakes were so cute.

Leslie and Dale flew here from Georgia and surprised Dad for the party.

We had a great weekend. We were able to hang out with the Family several days in a row and we even got to go to the Draper temple on Saturday with Mom and Dad and Leslie and Dale. What a great time. Happy 70th Birthday Dad!!!
Thanks Dearden Family!!!

Father and Sons...

Kevin told Cole that they would be going on the ward Father and Son's camp out a few weeks before. Well that seemed forever away to a three year old. So we drew a picture of a camp fire and put it on our calendar. Cole was so excited. He told everyone he was going camping. His primary teachers, random people at the store and all his cousins. He would always say " I'm going campin just my daddy and me. Not Dailey or my Mom." Just so everyone knew. ha ha.
I took Cole to the store to get some treats he said he needed chocolate. We sent them off on Friday afternoon. They roasted hot dogs for dinner, had s'mores and just a great time with other boys in the ward. Kev is such a great Dad. I love to watch him with Coleman.
We sure missed them, and look forward to more Father and Sons so we girls can have some "girl time".
I remember when I was little and the boys in the fam would go and we would rent a good movie and get treats and have some fun, just the girls. One time in particular, I remember going to watch Pollyanna. I also remember my Mom bearing her testimony to us girls. I loved that she would take that time and talk to us about what she knew was so important.
I hope to be able to do the same and take those little moments and just share and soak in time with them too.

Three and So FunnY!

So it seems that three is definitely the age of being so dang funny! Coleman makes me laugh hard everyday. I absolutely love it. From what he says and how he says it with his tone and actions and facial expressions. Man alive he is so funny. I am trying to think of the things that make me laugh so I can remember them when I am old.

Right now he thinks that the word "tootie" is so funny. Probably because I taught him to say "toot" for when he passes gas. I know kind of silly. But at the time, of a very young age it sounded better than some of the alternatives. He now runs around yelling tootie, and says I tooted, and your a tootie. Than he laughs. I don't love that but I guess he is a boy and for some reason they do think that is funny. The other night he said "I tooted" and started laughing and I said " Cole that isn't really funny, no one else is laughing." he said. "Well I crack myself up". That did make me laugh.

The other night I sang the second verse to" I love to see the temple" right before bed. I said how Mom and Dad were married in the temple and how one day after his mission he can get married in the temple. Than I told him I loved him and kissed him and walked out shutting the door behind me. I walked out and started doing some primary stuff on the computer. It was about 15 minutes later. Cole comes out and says, crying. "mom, I don't want to get married" I told him that it would not happen for a long long time and he said I just want to be with you and dad. So cute. I remember when I was little I was afraid of leaving my parents too.

I really can't remember all the funny things I initially wanted to put in this post that he says but I do want to remember that I love this age and I love being a Mom!

Memorial Day Weekend.....

I love Memorial Day weekend! It was so fun. We went to Bear River and than to the park afterward for food and lots of sports. We played baseball, volleyball and later that night a game of croquette. I love the river that runs through the cemetery. Ever since I was little we would all try and jump it. Some would fall in and get their foot wet. However in recent years it has been filled to the top with water so you would get pretty wet these days if you fell in. So no jumping for me. I love watching Cole with his cousins throw sticks and weeds in and than run down the other side to watch them float on by. It was a good day.

Swim Class and the weekend!

I signed Cole up for the tots beginning swim class at the Kearns Rec Center. He has had two classes so far. The first class was so fun to see him with his cousins getting use to the water and having a good time. The next class well I guess he got pretty comfortable. He got put in time out by the teacher for not listening. He wants to joke around and be the funny kid. So we had a talk and hopefully he will be able to listen to his teacher today! What am I gonna do with that cute kid. But boy do I love to see him with his cute cousins.

So it is Memorial Day Weekend! I love this weekend.
I can't wait to play it away. Hopefully I can plant my garden too.
Today Kev is going to take another CPA Exam. Good Luck babe. You are so awesome.
We love you!
