Bear Lakin 2010

We took a shorter trip up to Bear Lake this year than last year but we sure packed it full of fun!
We left Thursday and drove to Logan where we went and saw Despicable Me and stayed in the hotel that night. The next day we shopped at Sam's Club and picked up the wave runner's we rented and headed to Ideal Beach!

We checked into our unit and played around that first day and the next day we spent the entire day down at the lake with the wave runners. Man was it packed on the 24th.
Since it was the 24th they had some sign up sheets for competitions going on.
We signed up for the Sandcastle, side walk chalk, and volleyball competitions.
We noticed when we signed up that another family was doing all these same competitions so we started trash talking them without them even knowing! We would say things like "The Jeppson's are going down".
Yes, That's right. We were going to beat them for sure. They had no idea we were doing this but man it was funny.
We hit the traditional La Beau's a few times over the weekend we were there. They always call out your name when your order is ready. Well we sometimes like to tell them different names to call out just to be funny. When all of the sudden they call out "Jeppson" we almost screamed we were going to see the family we have been trash talkin. Ha. Ha. Actually it was Lizzy and Andy who had them call it out. So Dang Funny. We laughed so hard. We never met the Jeppson's but man did we have a good time. We filled the time with waver runner, ice cream, tennis, swimming, BBQ, croquet, and nertz.
Thanks for another fun time at BL!

Coleman loved the wave runner's. He kept yelling faster faster!

Our Sandcastle won best Pioneer spirit which we felt it should have won the overall prize. Come on look at that temple isn't it awesome! We also had the tabernacle and handcarts pulling into the valley with mountains and everything.

My Baby Girl's 1st Birthday...

My little Day Day turned ONE yesterday. It is so funny how emotional I get when they turn one. I did the same thing when Cole turned one. I look through the photos of the past year of their life and think Man where did the time go, and so maybe I shed a few tears as well.

Well we had a fun day celebrating. My Mom (aka. the incredible cake decorator) came over early to decorate and design the big cupcakes that were made out of cake. She does such a great job. They looked perfect. Than we went to see the floats at the expo center. We than celebrated with cake and ice cream and presents. We had a little cupcake cake for her to attack but she was not going to do it. Maybe we will have to try another time!

Dailey is such a sweet girl and I just love her smile. she has her top two teeth in and one on the bottom left side. I love that she just scoots around everywhere and seems to be content with it. She absolutely loves her big brother and can't wait to see him in the morning.
We sure love you Dailey. Thanks for being in our family!

Kids...

Cole yells from the other room. "Mom what's a postcard? I go in and he is under his bed with a container full of cookies and I say: It's like a letter. Cole: Oh now I gottcha!"
That kid cracks me up. Not sure where the post card question came from but he is always throwing random at me! Than I tell him to go get the cookies from under his bed. He says: How did yooou seeee that?
Ha. ha.

Cole says: Mom are you thinking what I'm thinking? Me: What are you thinking? Cole: umh a bird. Me: Nope not thinking the same thing.

Yesterday we filled up the little pool and got in it and played. Well later Cole went back outside for a minute and I went out to check on him. Well He had the itouch outside and it was wet. I said Cole did you put the itouch in the pool? Cole: Mom are you mad? Me: Cole tell me what you did. I just dipped my hands in and touched it to clean it. Andy cleaned his iphone.
Mom I just needed to clean it. Well Thanks Andy. Ha ha. Just Kidding. We may now try the rice trick someone told us about!!!

The Zoo Zoo Zoo, how about you you you..

We went to the Hogle Zoo on Saturday. We went with the Austin's and Grandpa and Grandma. We had a great time. It was a hot day. We packed in a lunch and ate inside. Cole loved running around with Brock and Alli and chasing each other and being silly.
Dailey did well too. She likes to people watch and liked to look at a few animals too. Cole kept talking about how the animals smelled. Guess he's a bit of a city kid. huh. We had a great time. Thanks Susan for getting us together!

It was crazy how long the giraffe's tongue was. He kept licking the pole that had a basket with his food on it.
It's not the zoo without a picture in front of the famous lion drinking fountain. They now have a couple of these fountains. It is a hot spot for photos.
My Mom always sang this song that went like this: We are going to the Zoo Zoo zoo how about You you You? You can come too TOO Too. So of course we sang it all day long!

This photo is not from the zoo but was at little Abby's 1st Birthday! She is such a happy little girl. Look how cute these three little ones are!!

Recap of 4th of July Weekend...

Being Silly!
Us at Sandy Fireworks
Picking Peas in Grandma/Grandpa Bush's Garden

Patriotic Day Day!

The kids Feeding the Horse in Henefer

We had a great time celebrating the Fourth all weekend long. Kevin took another CPA Exam on Friday morning and than was done by noon so we kicked it off by going to Copperton Park than went to dinner and a dollar movie. How to Train a Dragon was a cute little movie, and right up Cole's ally with the fighting of dragons even though he had seen it before. He loved it in fact half way through the movie, he yelled to his cousin, "I've seen this before" as it just clicked for him. Ha. ha. I love going to a movie and hearing all the kids laughter. So great.
The next morning we headed to Henefer for breakfast and the town fun. We had snow cones and 10 cent ice cream cones and bounce house chaos. What a great time. Than we drove home and got ready for a BBQ and ate some yummy food played the starburst mouth unwrapping game (with the new summer flavors) than went to the Sandy fireworks. It was so fun to see Cole and Dailey watch the big fireworks. There is something about the loud sounds and bright colors in the sky that make it so magical. I also forget how much I love playing on the grass waiting for them to start.
The next day was Sunday and I loved being in church on the fourth. I love singing the patriotic hymns. It helped me to reflect a little more and realize how blessed I am to be living in this great country and for the freedom we do have. I also loved sitting in primary and listening to the kids sing a few patriotic songs as well. I sure do Love being in primary. That evening was fun to eat dinner with more family. Than we came home early and went on a walk and watched fireworks from our house.
On Monday we packed our jeep with tennis, swim gear, cooler and everything else we could think of that we may want to go and do that day. I guess we didn't want to waste any time going home. We packed in all the fun we could. We went to breakfast at one of the cousin's house and than headed to Daybreak lake and went out on the paddle boats they have. It was so fun. We found a secluded beach area and the kids played in the sand and we kept rotating turns out on the boat. From there we went and had another BBQ and did our own fireworks. Another late night.
Man these days were packed from going to one thing to another. I think Kevin was glad to get a break and go to work today. The kids and I are still in our pajamas and just hanging out trying to catch up on some sleep and just relaxing at home. What a fun weekend!
Thanks Family.

Ready for The Fourth of July...

I went to Winco this morning and they had these cute gummy bears in red, white, and blue. Cole has to take a treat to his class on sunday and it is the 4th so we picked these up.
I am so excited for this weekend. I love that the 4th is on Sunday. We get to celebrate all weekend long and into Monday too!
I was trying to teach Cole about the 4th and why we celebrate. I started singing some patriotic songs to him and he even learned one too. Love, Love, Love this time of year!

Bedroom Rearranging...

When I was little I use to rearrange my room every other week it seemed like. I loved switching it up. I would shut the door and a few hours later everything would be organized and rearranged just as I would like it to be. Well I still do this with my living room furniture to the kids bedroom. I moved Cole's bed and Dailey's crib to different spots in their rooms.
Because hey Variety is the Spice of Life right?
