Getting Ready for Lucy...

We are getting so excited for our new baby girl to arrive. I went out last week and purchased a few items that I still needed so I could feel ready to have this sweet baby girl arrive.
I bought a new outfit to bring her home in and also a new blanket for her that can be her soft comfort blankie.
Dailey and her will share a room. Well when I feel Lucy is old enough to move her to the crib. I really love the bed we got off ksl for Dailey.
P.S. Oh how I love newborn diapers!

Got Milk?

This little girl absolutely loves MILK!

Shoelace Activity thing...

Not sure what the name of these little things are but I knew I wanted to find some before we had our stake conference. I thought it would keep my kids entertained for a little while.
I did not know where to look for some. So I made up my own. I cut the pictures off my circuit and than took a punch thing I had and went around the outside of the picture.
I than covered them with contact paper. I am not sure how long they will hold up, but at least I will get some quiet time out of them!
I probably should have checked Utah Idaho Supply store I bet they have some.

Crayon Roll...

I saw this crayon roll on this blog www.makeit-loveit.com and so I wanted to try it out. A little project for me to do. Well I was not going to rush and just take my time and do it. Than I wanted it for Easter so what do I do. I take it to my Mom and she whips it up in a matter of minutes.
It has been fun for us to have in our diaper bag to take to church. We love it. Now if only I could whip up a few for gifts.

BYU Women's Conference...By Small and Simple Things...

It has become a fun tradition for me and the girls in the Bush family to go to Women's Conference. We have gotten a hotel room before and other times just traveled back and forth.
This year my Mom, Mel, Mindy, Rachel, and I stayed in the dorms on campus. We have never done this before but we were told that it is nice to do.
We drove up Wednesday night and checked into Chipman Hall.
We were able to hang out that night and talk and check out the classes for the next day.

Liz and Amber drove up Thursday morning with little Archie too! We all met and went to classes together. We have such a good time being with each other and running to get into the classes that look the best. I think there was only one class that we really wanted to get into but didn't.

We were interviewed for an article in the church news by a friend of Amber's and she was asking all of us what we loved most about WC. (Don't worry, every year we try and pose as a camera goes by, hoping to make it on the cover for the WC magazine and now we know it's all who you know) We all joked around about those mint brownies and the chocolate covered cinnamon bears but I think I realized that it's not even the classes, Which I love, but the lasting memories of me being with My Mom and The Sisters that I love the most!

We were able that night to go to the service project center where we put together newborn kits.
Than we went to the brick oven for dinner and than we went to the concert they have every year.

I love going and hearing these people speak. I love talks on parenting, families, and how I can be a better Mom. I always come home inspired and ready to work and be better. I am so blessed to have a husband willing to take two days off work and stay home with our kids and let me go off. I joked with him saying it was my "training" and how it was not a girl's trip of fun but rather like a business trip. ha. ha.
I miss my cute family when I am gone. This was my first time leaving Dailey. So I was a little sad to go but I recorded my voice for them on Kevin's phone so they could hear my voice at breakfast and before they went to bed. If they didn't have so much fun with their Dad maybe they would have missed me but he is so much fun that I think they were just fine with me being gone.

Here are a few things I loved hearing:

Keep it Small,
Keep it Simple,
Give it Time.

We need Mother's who are committed to Mothering!

We don't need more Women of the World we need more Women of God.

I loved this talk that said that Love is spelled TIME!
This mother talked about playing with your kids. It was so good.

I feel like my "training" was a good one!
Thanks Kevin!

Easter Weekend...

We started our Easter festivities off on Thursday and played throughout the weekend!
Thursday Grandma Bush invited everyone over to color easter eggs at her house.
Friday we went to the bounce house since we had a great coupon from city deals. We had a fun time there and I think it wore both kids out!
That evening Kevin got home and we ate dinner and packed the kids in the car and headed to see Rio the movie. We liked it and thought it was fun entertainment.

Than Saturday morning I made easter treats in the kitchen while Kevin and the kids played outside, fertilized the lawn, and planted peas in our garden.
Than we filled easter eggs and went to do our Easter Egg Hunt and BBQ with the Bush Fam.
We had a great time! The kids put together a puzzle that was in an egg that was a pic of a kite and after the egg hunt we went and flew the kites.
The adults had a little contest too. To see who could keep their kite up the highest.
Sunday the Easter bunny visited and we had pancakes and got ourselves ready for church.
Than after church we went and did an egg hunt with the Dearden fam and had an awesome Easter Dinner.
What a great Easter weekend.
It was also nice to be able to talk to Cole about why we celebrate Easter and talk about our Savior! This month I have been doing the sharing time's in primary and I was grateful that I had an opportunity to bear my testimony of the savior and my love for the atonement of Jesus Christ.

How a pregnant women should sleep...

How incredibly sweet is it that I have a husband who thinks about me while he is at work, that on his lunch break he would look up how to help a pregnant women sleep better.
The last few nights I have been very uncomfortable even more than what seems usual for a women of almost 35 weeks along. My legs are achy and restless and cramp up and my hips, oh my hips. Not to mention the sciatic nerve thing. (Sorry a few complaints, However they are all worth it when that little baby gets in my arms). They are just not use to this much weight.
So when we were getting ready for bed last night, he was going around searching for all the pillows in the house. No really I think I had eight pillows all to myself.
He had them all set up and in the right spot, and told me just how so, to lay and hold the pillows.
It worked! I slept a ton better.
I love you Kevin you are so good to me!
Thanks.
