She is starting to be quite mischievous and is having a hard time listening to Mom and Dad.
Here she is putting her nose in the corner. She thought it was funny.

Bush Family 2nd Annual Food Fight...
On Labor Day we had our 2nd Bush Family Food Fight. It was super Gross and super Fun!
We included some old food storage this year, which made for some pretty nasty smelling concoctions.
We started out buy asking Jimmy questions (a little birthday thing) and decided that no matter his answer he was always wrong and we got to choose what food item to smear on his face. After that it was a free for all with everyone running and throwing and sliding around in the food. Dailey did not participate but I was proud of Cole! He did join in the fun. I was surprised because last year he wanted nothing to do with it and thought we were crazy. He is a boy who does not like to be sticky. Yet he held his own!
Such a great time. Too bad I didn't even have my camera to capture the event. Luckily others had their camera. ( Our new charger should be here this week :)

Maddie's Birthday...
For my niece's birthday we did a giant slip n slide in the park behind her house. It was so much fun going down a big hill with water. It was nice on a hot summer day!

Book Club...a good day...
Today we read a book about a group of kids being detectives trying to find a ghost who broke into their club house. Cole loves to pretend that he is solving a mystery. Instead of making a treat this time, we did a little project and made ghosts and colored them.
We have only done this twice. But it is kind of fun each Monday going to the library and getting new books to read and than spotlighting one book.
Today I went on a walk with all three children. Two in the jogging stroller and than Cole was riding his scooter till he got tired and sat on the very front of the stroller. (Maybe my arms got the workout they have been in much need of) It was nice to be out early and have them out with me too. They love walks. Than we were all able to get a nice little nap in after lunch. I love little naps where I can lay with all the kids surrounding me and snuggle up to them. It does not happen very often but how how I love it.
I love how our days are so carefree and easy right now. I am realizing I need to soak this all up and take it in. Because oh how quickly, it will be driving this child to this and picking this child up from that. I really do love this time in my life.
Even though yesterday as I was on the phone with an insurance agent and all the kids were crying I thought, Man oh man this is hard to get anything done around here!!! ha ha. Lucky for me the man on the phone was a real nice guy who had five kids of his own who understood just how it is!
Oh life it is so good!

Preschool Orientation...For Real this time.
Today Coleman had his preschool orientation. We went and met his teacher Mrs. Amber and met a few of the other kids in the class. His class room is in her basement and it is decorated so cute. We got his little folder for school. It has a calendar of what they will be doing each day and what letter they will be working on.
Each Friday is show and tell where they bring something that starts with the letter they are working on.
Cole went right in and was not even shy. She let them play with the toys around the room while she talked to the mom's.
Cole is so excited to start. I am also excited for him to start. Even though I am a little hesitant because I can't believe he is old enough. Oh how the time goes too fast.

Kid Book Club...
I decided to do a little book club with my kids where I pick a book that week and we read it together and make a snack or a treat centered around the book.
They were excited to do this. We picked a very simple book. It was about ducks and the mother duck made apple pie. So we made Apple Pie.
We had a great Monday evening. We took all the kids around the church where Cole practiced riding his bike. He is doing so well. Kevin is so patient and great at teaching him.
We than came home for a short lesson on being a good friend and ate the apple pie we made.
Sure love Monday nights.
