Baseball...

We signed Cole up for Baseball. We put him in this league that is super organized and takes it pretty dang serious. They had a meeting for the team mom's. Which I was volunteered to be. They even hold practice twice a week. Someone please remind them they are 5 year olds. Ha. ha. But Cole loves it!! We went to a field clean up day (yes they have the players come clean the field and get them ready) and they had a bunch of baseball equipment that was used out on a table for anyone to have. We walked away with two bats and a batting helmet and a mitt and batting glove. We scored big!
Last week was the first practice and than we have had two other practices since. When I tell him it's practice Cole runs to get ready. Grabs all his gear and even puts on his shoes. Usually if I say we are heading out it takes this kid sometime. He dinks around for awhile. Not when it's practice. So far he loves it we will see how long it lasts! We will have to post pics of him in uniform.

Conference Time...

This week has gone better than last week. I was trying to think why that was. Kevin has worked the same hours so that wasn't the difference. We were busier with a few more activities so at first I thought it was that. Than I realized two things. This is the week before General Conference. How how I love General Conference!!! I anticipate it and just love it so much! The other winner was I have been reading my scriptures and I have been slacking off in that department for a little while. The difference when I read and I don't is so night and day that sometimes I can't believe that I would ever not read. I have so much better in all aspects of my life when I read. BUT I forget and than have to start over. So here is to starting over and doing better. And wahoo for General Conference!

How I love the Weekends...

Why is it that the weekends go by so quick and sometimes the weeks can drag on? Since Kevin has been working a lot more, I have found myself dreading the upcoming new week. Dreading. Is kind of a strong word for it but when I was working I use to do the same thing. Sunday evening would roll around and I would get a hint of sadness just because I loved the weekend so much.
Since being a stay at home mom, I never really felt that tinge of sadness. Because the new week meant I got to be with my kids, and it still does. But man, from sun up till sundown and into the night, It's just me with my adorable kids of course. I think I took for granted having Kevin come home at a descent hour.
It has made me appreciate him so much more!! All he does for our kids and how they eat him up the moment he walks in that door. I love being able to eat dinner and have him there to converse with and tell him all about our day and he telling of his. Monday-Thursday we just don't see a lot of him right now. Which I know I am complaining on here AND I also know that we knew it could be like this. I also know this is not how we want it to be for always. I know some people have to live like this and boy, how hard would that be. It just isn't in the cards for us. We both don't want it that way. This morning Kevin sent a video message to us in a text. Since we were all asleep when he got home last night and when he left this morning. I wished I could have recorded them watching the video. There little faces just beamed as he talked to them. He is so amazing and such a hard worker and great husband and father. We sure Love him!

The Wedding ...

Firestation Fieldtrip...

I took Cole to his preschool field trip. We had a good time together. It is so fun to see how he interacts with the other kids in his class. We than ran over to kneaders for a quick treat. Since it was just the two of us. I sure love this boy. He is so fun to be with!

A little Family Bowling Trip...

Before Kevin headed out of town we decided to take the kids bowling. Our pass of all passes is getting good use. We went to the bowling lanes. They did not have shoes that small for the kids so we only had to pay for our shoes. We decided to play two games even though we were not sure if the kids would be able to handle two games. But why not we were only paying for the shoes.
It actually kept there interest the entire time. They loved it!! It was so fun to be just our little family.
