Halloween 2012...

I woke up excited for the Halloween Holiday. Even though I was tired I started getting breakfast ready at 6:30. I thought it would be fun to make pancakes into ghosts. It was a flop. Only a couple turned out. It just made things messy. Than it was a rush to get all of us ready. Cole's halloween parade started at 9 and so we wanted to get there early. Well my plan was to get everyone dressed and ready and than I would shower after they were all ready. We ran out of time and guess who had to go gross to the school. Me. That got me a little grumpy which started the morning off bad.
We did get extra time though. Because Ben came and picked Cole up and took him to school. Than Kev and I finished getting ready and headed for the school. It all worked out and I got over being grumpy about my no shower morning.

Cole was so cute in the parade. We also got to see all the cousins in the parade too. Cole didn't really want to dress up but I had to convince him that all the other kids would be dressed up and than he was ok with the idea. He later told me that he thought the parade was going to be different. He thought he was going to be throwing candy. Guess I should have explained about the parade a little better.

Later in the afternoon I was so tired, and I wanted to be a fun Mom so bad and carve pumpkins (yes we had not done that yet) and frost sugar cookies I made earlier in the week, and I wanted to take the kids to both grandparents too, but I was pooped and just wanted a nap.

So what did I do. I had a good little cry over how I was such a below average mom ( I didn't even think to send a treat with Cole for all the kids in his class, like the other mom's did).
After my cry, I turned on the tv and it was sponge bob (I hate sponge bob for some reason but I didn't care) and I went and laid down.

I felt better after my nap. We got our two little pumpkins from our garden and brought them in and I thought we could paint them. The kids wanted to carve them so we did a fast carve job and than it was time to trick or treat. It wasn't how I pictured the day but it turned out ok and sometimes a nap and a good cry makes everything better!

Paternity Leave...

Kevin had three weeks of paternity leave from work. He took two weeks off. And well we had a great time. The first week was while we were in the hospital and than getting home and getting settled as a family with four kids. The following week Kev helped out a ton and did a few projects that needed to be done around the house.
We had some fun in there too. We went to the new Scheels store and went out to lunch.
It has been nice to have him home especially to help with little Lu to give her the love and attention she needed with a new baby coming into the picture.

Sweet Baby Tayson...

Oh how I love this newborn stage. I love it so much. I can look at a newborn and just start crying especially when it is MY Newborn. I wish this stage lasted a bit longer or maybe that I could enjoy this stage more when I wasn't so sleep deprived.
Because seriously I love everything about it. I love newborn poop, I love being able to nurse my baby,  I love how he wrinkles his forehead and his dark eyes taking in new things around him.
I am so lucky and blessed to have this little guy in my life.

Girls Day...

BYU played Oregon State on Saturday. I have made it to all the home games through out this pregnancy. I kept thinking I am getting uncomfortable this would be my last game than I went to another game. Well this past game I decided to stay home.
Kevin took Cole and I had the girls. Dailey was so sad they were leaving. So I told her how much fun we would have with just us girls.

It started with naps. Both girls took a long nap. Than we headed to my parents where I sewed a tooth fairy pillow. All by myself. I love my Mom's sewing machine and I need to get one!
Than Dailey got to go pick new nail polish. She wanted to paint nails! Totally her idea. I usually don't love this. I can't paint her tiny nails well but heck she doesn't care.
She picked Yellow. It is her favorite color.
Than we got Zupas to go and headed home for dinner and a manicure and pedicure. She loved it!
We painted Lucy's fingers too but she is on the go. No pics of her.

I love my girls! It was so fun just being with them.
It was also good for Kevin and Cole to spend time together. They drove down to the game just the two of them. Nothing like one on one time!

Conference Weekend...

We had a great conference weekend. We made cinnamon rolls on sunday morning which were actually not done until lunch time. The kids had fun helping sprinkle on the cinnamon and sugar and they love when we use the string to cut them. Such good helpers in the kitchen. The talks I heard were awesome.
Sure Love The words of our Leaders.
