Tayson's Two Month Visit...
The Friday before Christmas I took Tayson in for his two month visit! He is getting so big. Too bad I took photos when he was in pain getting his shots. But he is so dang sweet. I love our new location for our pediatrician in Herriman too. It seems to be closer and not as busy.
He was in the 50% for height and weight.
She said he is doing great all except for his cute little head where he lays only on one side. She thought it would be wise if we took him to a specialist so we will be checking that out soon. Darn it. But better to get it corrected now!
Dailey's First Dance Recital...
We put Dailey in Dance at the same time Cole started Kindergarten. We thought it would be good to have her have something that she is doing. I never thought I would put my daughter in dance. I am really not that kind of girl. Ha. Ha. stereotypes. But I am glad we did! She has loved it. She loves going somewhere that is for her each week. It isn't a big time commitment and she goes with her sweet little cousin.
Dailey had her first recital in December.
It was kind of crazy day. I was asked to make dinner for a family in the ward and not just one meal but a few dinners they could throw in the freezer, So that took most my day and I thought I had us all ready for dance but than realized. aah. They put makeup on these little girls. So I asked a friend who was picking up my dinners if she had any blush we could borrow. She came and brought it and actually saved the day when she offered to do Dailey's hair. It helped a ton since I am terrible at hair and Tayson needed feeding.
Anyhow.
Kevin walked in the door and we took off to the school.
Dailey's dance was first and it was snowing so it was a slow commute and I was worried we wouldn't make it but we got there just in time to walk her up on the stage and hurry down to our seats.
She LOVED being on stage and came off the stage so dang excited. It really was the cutest thing ever!
I love this little girl.
Christmas Cards...
I have never done Christmas cards before. I guess I felt we didn't really know that many people to send them to. But I realized how much I loved getting them!!
I really loved this past christmas getting the mail and finding a card amongst the junk mail
So we took our own photo on a saturday. It was getting close to christmas so don't worry we just took it in front of our good old ikea dresser as to not have to edit out anything else in the house.
Man just a little photo like this is hard work to get everyone dressed and ready. And keep their hair from not going every which way. Once I got one child ready the other was trying to get out of the clothes I just put them in. So, I didn't get to really do my hair how I wanted since the kids were tired and hungry and if we didn't just snap the dang photo, all heck would break loose.
It turned out pretty darn good for being thrown together.
Sure makes me appreciate all the family photos my own Mom took. Sheesh that's work!
But the christmas card was sent out and I think I just might make it a tradition!
Cole Started Jr. Jazz..
This is Cole's first time playing Jr. Jazz Basketball. He was so excited to start. He is on a team with two of his best buddies from school and they have a lot of fun. Cole's first game he was super into it and made a couple baskets too. He was one of the only kids that knew somewhat of what to do.
Now after a few games he isn't as into it and doesn't try as hard as the first game. Not sure if he is just tired since most of the games have been at 8am or if he doesn't love the game. (heaven forbid) just teasing.
We got him knew shoes. That kid his Rough on shoes. But he is always way excited to go play. Like this past saturday. I was in the living room and it was real early in the morning Well He came out of his bedroom all dressed in his jersey and shorts and even had his ball shoes on ready to go!
He is a cool kid.

How the Grinch came to Cole's class...
Jim and Britt were the Grinch and Cindy Lou for Halloween. Than someone mentioned that they should charge and go around to people's christmas parties. Well they didn't do that but they did come to a few of their neices and nephew's schools! We had them come to Cole's kindergarten class.
They loved it!!! They read the story to them and took pictures!
Tayson's Blessing...
Tayson was blessed the first Sunday in December.
We had both families come over after our meeting and had a little luncheon. My Mom made his blessing outfit. Even though she has been extremely busy training for her new Jet blue job.
Happy 6th Birthday Cole...
Coleman turned 6! We had a great day celebrating with this boy! He wanted to have a party. We have never done a friend party and so we decided to have just a few friends come over. We thought we would keep it very simple.
Cole has always wanted to do a piñata. A little story about that.
So we were headed to a party store because we had to pick up balloons for a stake dance. Cole saw a darth vador one and he really wanted it but I didn't think it was worth paying $20 just so they could beat the heck out of it and than we still had to pay money for all the candy to go in it. So I told him how I could make this $8 mega phone that's for cheerleaders into a star wars ship and it would be so cool. He wasn't sold on the idea but we left the store with the $8 pinata.
When we were in the car he asked me Mom how do you become rich? I asked why and realized it was because he was still thinking of the darth vador that we left at the store. I asked him what he would buy if he were rich? He said the Darth Vador pinata. Than he quickly asked me what I would buy. I thought it was cool that he quickly wanted to know what I would buy.
The day of his birthday I was wishing I had just spent the $20 for the darth vador when I was trying to figure out how to make it not look like a cheer mega phone. Kevin stepped in to the rescue and duct taped it all up and made it look pretty good.
We had two friends and a cousin over and they made lite sabers out of duct tape and than did the pinata and had cake and ice cream.
We took him to McDonalds that night for dinner.
It was a great day!
Six things I love about Cole:
1. Cole can make me laugh. He makes me laugh everyday.
2. I love his enthusiasm for life. He is almost always in a good mood.
3. I love how he treats his sisters. He is so protective of them.
4. I love how much he reminds me of his Dad. Even in the little things he does.
5. I love how he wants to please others and do the right thing.
6. He is a smart kid. I love how he thinks. He comes up with the coolest things and says he would invent this robot to do this or that.
