Camping over the 24th of July...

We decided to go camping over the 24th of July! Some of the Bushes were going to come and camp but it ended up being just our family. We were worried about getting a spot on such a busy week so the kids and I headed up to the Spruces on wednesday morning. We drove around looking for which camp site would be the best and had the flattest spot for our tent!
Than the kids and I set up our cool new this summer tent and explored the campsite a little and than left back home to pack the rest of our gear!

Kev got off work around 3 and we headed up the mountain! The kids were so excited!

We played games, went on walks, roasted starburst and marshmallows and did some crafts and picked wild flowers for our table decorations!

We even had some visitors come up! We had The Boyer's come up on the 24th for the evening and they brought a tin foil dinner and cooked it over the campfire.
It was fun to have them up.
Than on the 25th we had Grandma and Grandpa Dearden come up in the afternoon and stay until later that evening! We walked with them around Silver Lake and hung out and talked. It was so nice to have one on one time with them and our kids!
Than we had another visit from Grandma and Grandpa Bush  and Mel and Mckay the morning we were leaving and taking down camp. It was fun to see them too!


Our menu for camping was:

Wed night- Tin Foil Dinners
Thurs Morning- Pancakes
Thurs lunch- sandwich, chips and fruit
Thurs Dinner-BBQ Hot Dogs
Fri Morning- Hashbrowns, eggs, sausage mixed all together
Fri Dinner- Grilled Chicken, baked potato, corn on the cob
Sat Morning- Cereal

Dailey Lynne is 5...

Dailey is such a fun little girl and we can't beleive she is 5! She had a tea party birthday and it was a fun weekend celebrating! Boy do we ever love having her in our family! She makes us laugh and she is the sweetest little thing ever! Dailey we sure love you!

Dailey's Teaparty...

We had a busy saturday before Dailey's birthday so we decided to do a quick little tea party for her little cousins that live close by and it was so darn cute to see these girls together!

Summer Backyard fun...

Our neighbor gave us her old slide and we have been having a blast playing with it this summer!

Dailey learns to ride with no training wheels...

   She picked it up with no problem at all. 

Cole got a new bike and went down the steps at the church!

4th of July Morning..

I wish I was better at taking pictures but we started the day listening to patriotic music as we drove to Grandma and Grandpa Dearden's for a breakfast!
We had a great time hanging out and playing in the backyard!

We than headed over to the Bush home for some fun water games! We love to be able to spend time with both sides of our families!

4th of July evening...

We went to a fourth of july party at a cabin in wallsburg. It was beautiful! They had a little lake where we hopped into a little paddle boat and went around a small lake and we ate yummy food and watched some fireworks while the kids played on bounce houses. It was a good time.
