Dailey and her broken foot...
This little girl was playing tag with Tayson and Lucy at the school while we were taking pictures of Cole's first day of school. She tripped and she fractured her metatarsol bone in her foot. We didn't think anything was wrong. She was crying and we told her to get up but she wouldn't walk on it. Kevin carried her to the car. He went off to work and she sat on our couch and cried on and off for a few hours. I decided to take her in and sure enough it was broken. It is hard sometimes to know if kids are really hurt or not.
She wore the splint for a week and than they gave her this shoe to wear. The shoe didn't fit very well so we ended up wearing it for 2 weeks and than let her take it off. She goes back to check on it soon. So hopefully it has healed!
Cole's First Day of Second Grade...
This boy was excited to start school! Even if he would say otherwise. We had a great time back to school shopping for clothes and school supplies. He took a football the first day to school and it had to be in our pics too.
His teacher is Mrs. Chandler and she is actually in our ward as well. He started out knowing two little buddies in his class. Spencer and a boy named Gustavo. All his other little buddies all are in different classes. He loved his first week! We are now a few weeks in and he still loves it! He is learning a lot and becoming a great reader!

Double the Trouble and with Scissors...
I usually don't have to worry too much about these two but I was in the kitchen chopping up tomatoes from our garden to make some tomato sauce and these two wanted to cut out some things they printed from the computer. I told them that would be ok and the next thing I know Dailey comes in and said they were doing haircuts! I couldn't believe it! I thought Dailey was old enough to know better! But it was in fact her idea! Lucy told me, "it was Dailey's idea" which I wasn't for sure since she blames things on everyone! :)
I got a little upset but tried to hold it together and instead of yelling I started to tear up and so did the girls. They started bawling! They both kept saying sorry and we had a talk about scissors and who gives them haircuts.
Lucy kept saying is Daddy gonna be mad and all day kept apologizing for it!
We had Aunt Amber to the rescue and went a couple days later to get them some haircuts!

Cousin Bowling Fun...
We signed up for this kids bowl free club thing and thought we would use it all summer long. But here it is the end of summer and well this is our first time doing it! We went with cousins and had a great time. At first it was a little crazy as Tayson was picking up every bowling ball he could. But once we got the shoes on and lanes were set these kids had a great time!
Wow! I can't believe Summer is almost over and School starts next week! Well for Cole at least. Dailey has her Kindergarten Assessment and than will start the Thursday after Labor day!
I am so excited for this new school year and I Love Fall time! But I have just LOVED summer and being able to just hang out with my Family has been Awesome! Don't get me wrong. I had my days where if the teasing and fighting didn't stop I was sure I was going to Lose It! But it has been a good One!
Weekend and Birthday Fun...
Kevin and I than got to escape on a date to the Parade of Homes! I haven't been since before I was married and I forgot how much I love it!
I love the ideas you come away with!
On my birthday Kevin got up and made a yummy breakfast and he even had the kids help him make fun birthday signs. When Kevin got home from work he brought ice cream and a brownie mix and made my birthday treat!
We went out to dinner with the kids at Pizza Pie Cafe! It was a great Birthday!

Father and Son Campout and Girls Night...
We got home from Bear Lake around 3:00 on Friday and Kevin and the boys helped us all unload from that and than we packed a cooler and a bag and Kevin's Dad picked them up with his camp trailer to head out to our ward Father and Son campout!
Cole was asking all summer when this campout was he loves going and I think he loves taking Grandpa Dearden's trailer and hanging out with just the boys!
I kept telling Kevin to leave Tayson home. Just because it had been a long week and I wasn't sure how he would do but he refused he said he is a boy and he should go too!
So off they went.
We stayed and cleaned up a few things and picked our tomatoes from our garden and than headed off to Zupas for dinner. The girls loved it and ate it so well and boy is having only the two of them super easy!
We came home and watched Ella Enchanted and went to bed!
The next day we did a morning Teaparty with Banana muffins and Chocolate Milk!
Bear Lake 2014...
We went to Bear Lake on Monday August 4 and stayed until Friday afternoon. We packed up and went hit winco on our way with another stop at the Gossner Cheese factory in Logan.
We got to the Ideal Beach Resort and walked around and tried to get in and look at the condos.
This year we got 4 different condos. They were spread apart. The unit we stayed in was nice and more updated than the past ones. It was unit 141.
We swam and rode wave runners that Jeff borrowed from his brother, which was so nice of them to let us use. We loved having them without having the rush of renting them and trying to hurry everyone on. Since I am pregnant I did not ride them. But oh how I wanted too! We also rented stand up paddle boards. I love those too but I didn't' think my balance was very good and I was a bit self conscious trying it in front of everyone with my big belly in my swim suit! So Next Year is my year!
I think this year Cole loved the freedom of being able to go on his own a little more as long as he told us where he was headed. We didn't have room for bikes so we had them use the scooters to zip back and forth to their cousins condos.
Cole found $20 dropped on the ground at the store with his cousin Morgan. The cute little things turned in the money to the store worker without anyone telling them to do so.
I think that may have been Morgan more than Cole but I thought it was so cute. They kept hoping the lady wouldn't come back and claim her money so they could keep it!
Dailey and Lucy both were very timid to jump on the diving board they had to have help doing it! Maybe next year they will be more comfortable.
Cole was not afraid. He was doing flips off and all sorts of tricks he even did a backflip which he did not want to do again. I think there was some bribing involved on the back flip!
It was a great trip and we always leave having had such a good time! The weather was great it rained a bit but overall it turned out to be a good week to go!
