Snapshot of Our Life...

I saw this on a blog where they put some of their day to day things they are doing and what their kids are up to and I thought I would post something like that today. It's all for me to read when I am old!

Coleman- 6 years old

He is growing up so fast. He loves to watch kickin it and Power Rangers. He just started Baseball and is on the Rock Hounds. He has two really good buddies in his Kindergarten class. They get along really well. He plays with them at least twice a week. He is in Love with making weapons out of duct tape. His room smells like duct tape. He knows how to make him a PB&J sandwich.
He is on reading Level D at school and is doing well. He doesn't love to read he prefers doing math problems. Cole hates to go to church. Once he is there he likes it. I think it it the clothes he doesn't like to get all dressed up. Cole loves strawberries and always ask for them at lunch.
Cole always wakes up in a good mood(he gets it from his Dad, not from me) he is usually always in a good mood!

Dailey- 3 years old

She loves to make up songs and will go and sing them in her room or in the car. She likes to color and loves getting blank notepads and coloring all over them. She Loves My little Ponies. She screams when I do her hair even when I haven't even started brushing her hair. She wants to marry Cole when she grows up. She is in dance but really likes the idea of her being on stage and that she got flowers after.
She likes to play like she is the babysitter when we play with her dolls.
She loves lounging around in her comfy jammies(she would all day if I let her)
She plays well with Cole. She will be the girl to run up and get everyone a snack. She loves to snack.
She hates Berries especially strawberries. Dailey loves to cuddle and give kisses. She is so sweet.

Lucy- 23 Months

She loves the song Twinkle Twinkle and if you go to sing another song she flips out and yells TWINKLE at you until you sing that one again. The other day she did ask for the "Proud of you" song.
If you ask her if she is poopy she says "No, Tayson poopy" When she Toots she says Poop.
She can have a tantrum that last longer than all my kids combined. She wakes up once a night in a raging fit and we can't calm her down. If she gets mad enough she will put her finger down her throat and make herself throw up. Seriously, we clean up throw up at least once or twice a week. When we leave her with grandparents or babysitters she usually always throws up.
She is a hard little girl but she is so dang cute. She makes us laugh.

Tayson- 6 Months

He is a sweet little baby. He Loves to watch his brother and sisters. They can make him laugh so hard. He is very ticklish. He has had a lot to deal with in his short life. RSV at 4 months old and than he had a bad allergic reaction. He also has had a pretty flat head because he only likes to be on one side. But we are working with him and doing neck exercises to strengthen his head and neck.
Despite all that he is such a pretty easy going baby. He smiles a ton and loves grabbing everything in sight.

The kids run and hide when they hear our garage door open, that means DAd is home. Kevin will come in and kiss me and than he will pretend like he can't find them anywhere till they giggle and give themselves away.
We try to have FHE on Monday nights it is really quick, sometimes only lasting a total of 5 minutes with song and prayers and off to get our treat.
We have been playing a lot of sorry and dice games.
We love to play on the tramp and swing set.
Sundays we go to our 11:00 church and than after church we rotate who's family we go to for sunday dinner. one week it will be with the Dearden family and the next it will be with the Bush family.

Lucy's Cyst was removed...

On Monday April 1st we took Lucy in to Primary Children's Where they did an outpatient surgery and a plastic surgeon removed her cyst on her chin. The dermatologist had removed this once before and told us if it came back we would need to go this route. So we took her in for this little surgery.
I was pretty nervous taking in one of my kids and putting them under anesthetic at such a young age. They gave her an oral dose of medicine that was suppose to help make her a little sleepy before they came and took her away from us. When I had to give her to the doctor. She went ok at first because she was so droggy and than she realized what was happening and started screaming. I started crying too and than they shut the doors. It was so hard. I wanted so badly to be with her. Kevin hugged me and took me to the waiting room where we sat with all the other patients families. Than they finally called 1 parent for Lucy and I got to go back to the recovery room. When I got there she was freaking out and I felt so bad. She was just coming out of the anesthetic and she was pretty upset. I sat in a rocking chair trying to help wake her up and realize I was there with her. I sat and sang twinkle twinkle little star. Her favorite song. She kept yelling for milk. They said they could give her apple juice but she just wanted milk. So to calm her down they got her a sippy of milk and she calmed down a bit.
Than they moved her over to the other recovery room where they let Kevin come in and join us.

Egg Drop..

Cole's school did an egg drop this week. The night before we were hunting around the house deciding what we would put the egg in. Than Kevin took Cole to baseball practice. I called asking them to stop at the store for bandaids for Lucy's chin. They came home with bubble wrap and fancy duck tape. ok not fancy but duct tape with skulls on it. I am not a fan of skulls but that is what the kids seem to like.
Here I was going to not spend money on it and they came home with supplies for it. Ha. ha.
They had a great time putting it together. They had it all wrapped and Cole ran and got his parachute guy to go on top. The entire time he kept saying "I hope I win" over and over.

Our Easter Festivities...

We colored Easter Eggs and the Easter Bunny hid the kids baskets. Cole's Basket was out on the tramp which he guessed that it would be there the moment he woke up and asked if the Bunny had come. Dailey's basket was in the Lazy Susan and Lucy's was in Tayson's carseat.
It was a quick morning of finding our baskets eating some candy and getting ready for church. It was a great day! I kept quizzing the kids all morning of why we celebrate Easter. I was prepping them so at church they wouldn't say the Easter Bunny!

Bush Family Easter Egg Hunt...

We did Brunch and an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. We ate first and than did our annual easter egg roll. This year their was a winner for the adults and the kids. It was Grandpa and Dailey's hard boiled egg that went the furthest.
We than had the kids hunt for their eggs. It is always so fun to watch them all run around! Than we did an adult easter egg hunt where everyone brought an egg and put some kind of prize in it. We put in a $5 bill in one egg and the other had a note for a 2 Liter Pepsi which we had inside the house.
The older grandkids hid these eggs and we all ran around pushing each other to find the eggs. It was pretty fun! Kevin got the egg with a gift card for a rack of ribs. He was pretty excited.

Tramp is up...

Last Friday Kev came home from work and it was still light outside so we quickly ate dinner and headed outside to put up our trampoline!!
The kids were so excited they could hardly stand it.
Kevin is now a professional at setting this thing up.
He beat his time from Christmas Eve night.

Random Happenings in the Last few weeks...

We got to hang out with these cousins for a day. They are so much fun to be around!!
We took a trip to the gas station for treats and a movie. My kids were in heaven since I never take them to the gas station for a treat.
Little Tayson is such a smiley guy and I absolutely adore his baby laugh.
Tays eating Rice Cereal. He is a champ. This pic doesn't show it since it's all over his chin but he caught on to eating from a spoon so quick.
I have started back to the treadmill walking/jogging. While I do this in the morning. Little Lucy will go and bring me all the play food from her kitchen. We line it up all here. It is our game we play while on the treadmill.
I am trying different things with my girls hair! It takes me some time because they are usually running away and shouting the whole time. But I am getting pretty creative in how I distract them from freakin out! Hopefully my skills with hair will improve!
