Lucy was blessed on Sunday July 3rd 2011.
Our church is at 9:00 so we quickly got the kids bathed and ready for church and got the house all ready too. Actually we stayed up till 2 in the morning getting everything ready. It was mainly me wanting these new pictures of Lucy hung on our wall that kept us up that late. But I love the wall which I will post pics of later.
My Mom came over early and helped dress Lucy in the beautiful blessing gown she made. I love that she comes over early to do that.Not only did she make that but she made the headband, the slip, and braceletts for me and Lucy and Dailey. Seriously I could go on and on about how much my Mom does.
We had such a busy week with Jimmy arriving home and than us blessing Lucy that sunday. It was such a nice weekend even though we packed it plum full.
Things I want to remember about this day...
~ Kevin blessed Lucy and it was such a great blessing
~My Mom spending lots of time making the dress and tatting the lace on the dress and bow.
~Mom coming over and helping dress Lucy.
~Family coming over and having muffins, cinnamon rolls, fruit, bread, and cookies and juice.
~My Mom made homemade bread by my request and also these adorable blessing dress sugar cookies. So cute. Oh and she hand cut the blessing dress cookies out individually no cookie cutter. wow.
~Everyone in both Kev and My family came and also our friends the Bogles and Magallanas Family.
~Everyone brought such yummy food and we loved visiting with everyone.
~ Lucy didn't cry during the entire blessing. She is such a sweet little baby.
What a special day it was! We love you Lu Lu!
